1/ All goods on sale at the market must have been produced within a 35 mile radius of Lostwithiel. By buying from the market you are not only helping to cut down on pollution and global warming but also helping the local economy.
 
2/ Only the producer themselves, or one of his family, or one of his employees is allowed to sell at Lostwithiel Market - no goods are sold by middlemen. This is so that the customers can ask questions as to the method of production etc.
 
Produce is only available in season, or when in production,The Market Free Entry.jpg and includes a selection of;
free range meat, poultry, fish and eggs;
home made sausages, ham, and bacon;
vegetables, fruit and fruit juices, plants, flowers and herbs;
ice cream and cheeses;
chutneys, jams, marmalade and pickles;
Bread, cakes and savories;
home made cottage crafts.
